Matcha is green tea powder. The matcha, which is prepared by passing through fine workmanship and grinding, is whipped and ready to drink. While other teas are drunk only as brewing water, matcha is mixed into the water as a powder and the whole tea is drunk. With this difference, it is much more effective and healthier than a cup of green tea.

The secret starts in the garden, where it is necessary to be able to produce tencha tea (a type of green tea) with a different physiology. In order to produce a good tencha, the tea gardens are covered and left in the shade for 20 days before harvesting, allowing chlorophyll to accumulate so that the tea is greener and healthier. The harvested tea leaves are processed with a steam system, separated from the stems and fibers, and small particles of leaf tea ‘tencha’ are obtained. Mills are used in the final process of grinding. Tencha tea is ground to the consistency of flour and ‘MATCHA’, a green tea powder, is obtained.

Preparation;

Put 1 teaspoon (2gr) matcha in the matcha bowl (Chawan),

Pour 200 ml of 75 °C hot water over it. Prepare by whisking with a bamboo whisk or a small frothing mixer.

When the matcha is completely dissolved in water and foams, drink it without waiting.

If you wish, you can make a latte by dissolving your matcha with half the amount of water and completing the remaining amount with milk.
